Tenebral

Young member of a cadet branch of House Sinnodel, Tenebral is forced to shoulder burdens meant for wealthier people.

Backstory

Restlessness was Tenebral's constant state of being. For as long as she could remember, if she stayed in the same city for months on end, she began to wake from her trances more and more anxious to leave each morning. Life for the Arolegur family calmed down quite a bit once they started encouraging her to travel every few months, arranging deals to resupply the family shop. Officially, they repaired and resold used instruments, and so her travels were to find more instruments (preferably brass) and spare parts. But their more illicit wares were the real reason she traveled, for those deals were better arranged in person.

It was now verging on a year since she had last left the city and Tenebral was constantly tense. She couldn't leave because Galinndan, the head of the more prestigious branch of the family, had requested her services. He looked down on her parents and grandparents for settling for smuggling, instead of supporting his more grandiose plans, and she couldn't reject his request without risking him ruining her family. At first, she was only ferrying messages between Galinndan and his grandson (Leucis) in prison, but now she was on her way to meet up with Leucis by the coast outside of the prison.
