Sleyd

A D&D Campaign Setting

Mumblings to a beard:

I honestly don't think it was entirely my fault. Depends how you characterize such things I suppose. Sometimes I cannot help pursuing that sort of experimentation, knowing deep down that there is so much power out there, though my comfort zone remains in the defensive; in the benign. And I've helped several, that should be noted. Magic can be finicky, it has been said, and not always by me. If I could have prevented that damage, the harm.... Better progress in the wild though I can't say you took to it well. You've certainly looked better though that's no matter... Research and contemplation, just what a wizard needs to center oneself. If there's a mishap or two, out far away, then who's to be bothered? (save you, truly I'm sorry about your edges...) So certain I was that I was on the brink of something, but no. Better to be cautious, better to protect.

It just seemed like it was time... dark tidings of disaster from Isamarr, but it wasn't me, no not me this time. We were away, out here in the sun, in the open, with the silence. I'm certain we can make a difference.... must attempt to help if possible. Carefully...

What? Oh trim yourself, I'm busy.
