Fahrstone
Fahrstone is a rare mineral that interacts with the Flows in unique ways, determinable by the color variation of the crystals. The size of a piece is equivalent to the power it contains, though different types are set to different scales of magnitude. Larger quantities of smaller sized pieces are not additive. White is the most common color of Fahrstone, found throughout the world in various sizes. The other types of Fahrstone are found buried within it, and the white Fahrstone must be carefully lit aflame to remove the anti-magic shell it provides. Fahrstone is indestructible by other physical measures.
White Fahrstone

The white variety of Fahrstone is used to stave off and nullify the effects of the Flows. This substance is on the lowest scale of increasing magnitude, and several boulder sized chunks (not overlapping) are needed to ward a large town. It is quite flammable, but burning it has no inherent ill effects of its own. This white variety is rather porous. Nevertheless, it is exceedingly dense and heavy. All other Fahrstone types are found buried within white Fahrstone.
Black Fahrstone

Black Fahrstone can be used to alter the nature of Flux. A steep scale of magnitude, a grain can extend one's life by a year, a ten gram piece could easily be used to gain control of a kingdom, or make oneself live to over five thousand years. Grains of it are rare (highly sought-after by ascre) and pieces scarcely larger than a half-centimeter are worth thousands of platinum. Fortunately immune to fire.
Blue Fahrstone

Blue Fahrstone originates from the Shadowfell, though sparsely is found near uplifts on Mondevai. It can be used to alter the nature of Rigor, pacifying the undead or ending the lives of many. Wantonly lit aflame, it may transport those nearby to a random location on Mondevai.
Red Fahrstone

Red Fahrstone is found scattered about Mondevai. It can be used to control Vim & Vigor; largely useless in and of itself as it replicates the same control arcane practitioners exert over the Flows. It does not mix well with fire, creating a portal to the nether realms if lit aflame. It can, however, be used to power the teleportation gates found in Enclaves.
