Dear Father,

I hope that your work in Cote is going well. I know you said that it was alright, but I do still feel a small bit of shame that I was never able to get the hang of your world. I hope you have found someone else to be your apprentice in the [[Miners|Guild]].

However, I am writing you with a much more serious matter in mind. A friend of mine I met on my journeys, [[Golian]] Sinnodel (whom I believe you are acquainted with), may be in trouble and in need of help. You may have heard of the tragedy that happened down in [[Isamarr]]. I was there with a group of travelers that Golian had introduced me to (including a cousin of his) and encouraged me to travel with as I continue my journey to understand the balance between Chaos and Order. We did what we could to help the people of Isamarr but barely managed to escape with our lives on a ship named the Great Eastern. The ship took damage and its crew took losses, but we have made it to [[Nassis]] and are currently of sound body. The group I have joined is planning on staying with the ship a while longer—at least while it is repaired to full strength.

But Golian, he left Isamarr days before the tragedy struck. He had been spying on his lunatic Grandfather Galinndan for us, as we had taken a job from the [[Archeralds]] to investigate a potential Enclave (appeared to be a false lead). By the time we returned, the entire Sinnodel family was gone including Golian. He did leave us a note indicating the entire family was headed for [[Ethasadril]] and that they at least knew that something terrible was about to happen to the city. He is most likely being hunted by his grandfather and so may be seeking asylum or a place to hide.

If you can, will you find Golian and assist him as you are able? And if you do manage to make contact with him, let him know his cousin and I will be looking for him.

I know you do not make it up the mountain much to see mother and her kin these days, but please forward this message to her as well. If Golian managed to stay safe until the made port he may have run away from any city they made landed in.
