== Backstory ==
Mav was a soldier in [[Zantaashi]], back when he trusted the kingdom. Upon promotion he was asked to do things contrary to his beliefs. His fellow officers asked him to kill an innocent citizen so they might smuggle contraband unnoticed. Mav refused and urged the others to see reason. Only two others stepped forward to defend the man alongside Mav - One was his friend, Holl Torr, and the other he didn't recognize other than the distinctive scar across his left eye that shown bright gold, his scales were as black as night.

It was a losing battle but the mysterious hero managed to vanish with the innocent citizen before harm was brought to them. Holl and Mav were not as fortunate as they both spent a month in the infirmary. The officers may not have agreed with them but they respected their actions - they reported that Mav and Holl had died along with the other two in the fight. Mav and Holl were encouraged to stay out of the Mirelands.

Without any direction - Mav followed Holl to [[Isamarr]] in hopes of connecting up with Holl's older brother, Zaffic, who might know where to find the mysterious hero and the citizen. This might allow them to bring the others to justice and prevent the deaths of others.

Being short on gold, Mav is forced to do odd-jobs for money. Being in the city allows him to also get wind of bounties that may be on people but he currently looking for something that will be either more risky and lucrative.
