	The young cleric harnessed the powers of the tempest and became quite the trombone player. By the age of 23, he had traveled to all of the major shrines of Savulcian on the continent. However, one question remained; what became of his father, the adventurous Alogan? At age 28, Gheshtal sought to answer that very question. He made his way South, stopping to ask about a certain cartographer at every cartographer's guild he encountered. Most hadn't heard of Alogan, but a few mentioned [[Isamarr]] as a good place to look (although some hadn't seen him there in more than a decade). After revisiting the beautiful Cathedral of the Waters, the cleric was on his way to the cartography house when a thief decided to steal the cleric's trombone right off his back. Gheshtal followed in pursuit, though frustrated he couldn't use the powers of the tempest in close proximity to civilians. The thief proved too quick, leaving Gheshtal along the water's edge near the city's prison. It was then he encountered several strangers... == Backstory ==
All Half-Fey are born with the burden of knowing that they are the end of the road. With this knowledge, a Half-Fey must find other ways of transmitting their legacy without offspring. Gheshtal, a Peredhil cleric, was no exception. His Hael mother, Amode, was a carefree spirit whose boundaries were not limited to the forests inhabited by most Hael. Her company wandered the lands season after the season. The beauty of [[Letier]] never ceased to captivate Amode, but it was a Dravic cartographer by the name of Alogan who left a truly lasting impression on her. Along the shores of the recipient lake near Mt. [[Vesuviali]], Amode and her companions encountered a Dravic military ship. The captain had made an emergency landing on the lake due to an unconscious Alogan (an earlier scuffle with pirates had injured the cartographer). Without a guide, the blind ship sustained enough damage to warrant the landing. While the marines and other sailors worked on repairs, Amode took it upon herself to nurse the cartographer back to health. Although Alogan and Amode became attached, the Dravon returned to the [[Underdark]] and the Hael returned to their wooded lands.

Months pass and Gheshtal was born along the [[Haelink]] coast during a particular rainy day in the Spring. The young Peredhil spent much of his youth as a curiosity to onlookers, even though he was accepted in the community. Under the protective eye of his mother, Gheshtal became well-versed in the subjects of the world; a quick learner like his father. As a teenager, Peredhil read books from dusk till dawn. Unfortunately, this is how he discovered his inability to reproduce. Refusing to continue life as a sterile art exhibit, Gheshtal ran away from his mother and traveled South along the coast. One evening, he got caught in a tempest so terrible, the combination of wind and rain pushed him over the edge of the road and onto the rocky shore, where he laid unconscious until rescued by a small group of musicians two days later. Upon awakening, Gheshtal found himself in a shrine to [[Savulcian]]. The musicians were on a tour of sorts, playing their brass instruments at each Savulcian shrine. Gheshtal interpreted the tempest and his musical rescuers as acts of Salvucian and decided then and there that his life's purpose was to find a lasting legacy in pursuing the ways of the Verogod. The band, overjoyed by his conversion, gifted Gheshtal an old trombone.
