Herbalism is the means of gathering plants and other materials in Mondevai. You can use these materials to craft potions and poisons for your use. Every day you spend in a location where you take a long rest, you can roll a gathering check (WIS or INT plus Proficiency if you're trained in herbalism kits). On a successful check, you find 1d4 herbs in that terrain.
To the north of Letier, several hundred miles of coastline encompass the nation of Diviglo. Reptilian-dominated, the majority of towns see their men off for several months fishing, while the women remain on the shore.

As the nation is inclined to strife, the men often return to find their entire villages redistributed. The fishermen, who have spent most of a year away, must make their way to new locales with their catches and hope that there is a home waiting for them.

During the fishing seasons, the warrior societies bicker and fight for harbors and the forests that will produce boats for the next year...

Amaranthine Church

108.45.105.163: /* Origin of the Name */

This is a religious page. All 'facts' presented as history may be disputed by those not affiliated with this order.

By any of its multiple creeds, the Amaranthine Church is certain of one core tenet: the powers-that-be know more than they let on. Whether this is benevolent, nurturing, or selfish drives divisions within the faith.

Background
In the wake of the first iteration of Turath, the population of the nation dispersed and lived a tribal existance in the desert. Around this time, perhaps seven thousand years ago, the Ascre began to settle near the mountains to the east. As part of their back-and-forth trade, the abilities of the warlocks were gradually learned by the dwarves, and the ascre beliefs slowly permeated back to the Turathi.

Historical documents record the first mention of Sun-Seers approximately four millennia ago, with small, parallel bursts of technological advancement occurring across tribes. As the modern sect claims, the Priests of the Sun began to listen to the words of knowledge. The tribes of ascre began using bronze regularly at this point, and the second Turathi dynasty began.

In the modern age, the faith of the desert tribes has undergone many metamorphoses. Two primary denominations of the church exist--the Wrightists and the Sun Smiths--as well as many other minor groups. Clergy of this religion view themselves as researchers and negotiators, bargaining with their divine patrons and trading the faith of followers for hints at technological progress.

Notable Denominations
;Sun-Smiths
:The Sun-Smiths are a wide, secretive, fraternal organization that spreads across the desert and Fornmidr. Their warlock clergy are known for their superb forgework and innovations. Their contact with the Cosmic Church has led them to take the Sun as a patron, among other less-well-known patrons.

;Wrightists
:The Wrightists make up the largest number of Amaranthines by far, and hold to their tribal origins. Tribes closer to Nalarin tend to revere the sun as their patron of knowledge, but as each individual tribe is autonomous unto themselves, minor sects of the Wrightists are spread throughout Mondevai.

;Arietic Wrightists
:Ascre who have spread to the foothills of Haelink and Tiban tend to take Ariese as their patron of choice. The largest town of Arietics is the primary producer of fine vellum for the Cartographers’ guild.

;Arctic Wrightists
:Northern ascre and dragonborn look to the stars as patrons. The lack of sun in Ethasadril for many (if not all) months of the year is particularly conducive to this belief.

;Vigilant Wrightists
:The splinter Vigilant Wrightists look to the consistent workings of the Vigils as their inspiration. This sect claims Thain as a patron, but has very little in the way of magical aptitude to show for their faith, instead focusing on the honing of precise craft as their method of worship. They view the divine as selfish, and refer to the sun as “The Burning Hate.”

Origin of the Name
Potential sources for the name of the church have been studied by scholars of the faith. In no particular order:

* Of, relating to, or resembling an amaranth plant, a common crop in the borderlands between Tiban and the Corrolt Desert.
* Eternally beautiful and unfading; everlasting.
* Deep purple-red, a common Turathi eye color.
* “Not-marran,” purported by some who find the all-encompassing nature of the Cosmic Church distasteful.

108.45.105.163: /* Geography */

A city-state on the borders of Fornmidr and Nalarin, this little nation was relocated from the Desert Wars historical site of the Blasted Gate during a major shifting event. As it was not only a minor point of defense against demonic incursions but also a well-stocked vault of Hlyn, Domengro has burgeoned into a bastion of defense in the area.

Life in Domengro
Within the mighty walls of the city the Miners' Guild has a major presence. While the Fahrstone mines are long since tapped, the city now serves as a major source of silver and iron excavation and banking. The dwarven clans originally controlled this city and still hold significant political power despite the sale of the site to the current dragonborn lords.

The clerics of Hlyn and Nairo administrate a well-funded military academy in Domengro, primarily for the purpose of training recruits to fight the demonic armies that still sweep over Nalarin.

Turathi and ascre refugees immigrated to Domengro decades ago, and make up a considerable portion of the lower and middle class workforce in the city. "Sifters," the term for the people who spend all day picking through sand for black marmaron grains, are the poorest of the lot. Despite Nairo's strong influence, slavery is not legal within the city.

Caravans of traders frequent through a small uplift, usually dwarven, but occasionally are comprised of daring fey or dravic tradeships.

----

Geography
A tiered city on the side of a mountain, Domengro is well positioned to defend against attack. Despite the former dwarven ownership and presence of a minor uplift, the city does not extend far into the mountain itself besides the mines.

Several small wells and oases sit at the base of the mountain, fed by springs in the rocks. Here the population draws its water and so the city sprawls around the foot of the giant peak. A great wall commissioned by the dragonborn general surrounds the majority of the lower city, keeping it safe. The slums beyond the wall are refreshed by lower-quality oases, some of which are mildly toxic due to runoff from the mines...

Upon the cliffs, light vegetation provides food for sheep and goats to feed the people. Cave moss, sugar cane, bananas, and amaranth are also grown in the area as major crops.
